I personally like Drumstick as well. But "Rooster" sort of fits too because on the Chinese calendar - the rooster is the sympbol for people that are deep thinkers, capable & talented. They are devoted & are usually right in situations.

There's also Foghorn Leghorn - a great character thats bird related.

And I had to google Male chicken to see what you were talking about.....gotcha! That would not be a good name at all!!!

Tell your son it could always be worse - you could always just refer to him as your "Baby" - no matter how old he is, I'm sure that's what he is! That would probably embarass him more than anything! :-)

This is probably totally dorky, but what about Drumstick? Like, you know, chickens and drummers both have them :) it's all I can come up with right now. But I understand his qualm with the current name (grin) and hope you can come to an agreement on a new moniker soon! :)

My first thought was "Dr. Doolittle" related because of the animals. Then I thought "Chicken Doolittle" kind of a "Chicken Little/Dr. Doolittle" cross. But I finally was thinking "Rooster Doolittle" - hmm? You could always shorten to Rooty-Doo. LOL!!! Ok I am officially a geek and a nerd.

This is so funny!! My husband and I have been married for 4 years. We live very close to my parents and brother (16) so we go down there quite often. We were down there the other night and my dad needed my brother to do something. We were all in the LR and my brother was in his room at the other end of the house. I said, "Well, I'll go tell him." He said, "No, I'll just call him." And he did. He picked up his cell phone and called my brother's cell phone. I thought it was so funny. Oh the ways of technology!!
