Doing for others.
Knitting has opened up many unique opportunities to do for others. I know that I can look around me and do things here…non-knitting activities. I’ve done those things over the years. I really enjoyed volunteering at my children’s schools when they were younger. Room Mom, Volunteer Coordinator…you name it, and I probably did it at one point or another.
Knitting, though, is truly unique. It’s like sewing. Each gift is tailor-made for its recipient. A little sad? Yellow yarn and a happy pattern to the rescue. Baby on the way? A little Caron Simply Soft and a pattern of baby footprints, and you’re good to go.
This page will contain posts about some of my special projects — not to toot my own horn, because I do not like to do that. It’s my hope that as you look at what I’m involved in, you will share your own ventures.
